The LocBrowser Basic Edition assists mobile people in finding their route.
It is especially well suited for traveling or outdoor activities like hiking or cycling.
The LocBrowser Basic Edition is a comfortable and flexible viewer for digital maps.
Additionally, it supports real-time navigation - when combined with a GPS receiver.
In particular, it has the following features:

Status
Current Stable Release: 1.00.
- This is a stable release
for Pocket PCs under Windows CE 3.0 (PPC 2000 or 2002) with the XScale CPU (e.g. Dell Axim X5),
the StrongARM CPU (e.g. Compaq iPAQ 3660), the SH3 CPU (e.g. HP Jornada 525) or the MIPS CPU
(e.g. Compaq Aero 1550). The release is available for free.
Latest Non-Stable Release: 1.2.

Limitations
Apparently, monochrome PNG maps can not be displayed by the LocBrowser (thanks to Andrea Arzeni
for this hint).
Check the hardware compability list for the supported PDAs
and GPS receivers.
Check the readme file in the distribution for any further limitations.
