(1) This document describes the terms of use for you, the user, for the
source release of the LocBrowser Basic Edition, which henceforth will be
termed software. When you do not agree with the terms described below,
you are not authorized to use the software and have to remove it from
your system. If not mentioned otherwise, the term copyright holder
refers to the copyright holder of the LocBrowser Basic Edition.
(2) The software is free of charge for private or commercial use. You
may make any number of copies for your purpose and use it on any number
of systems. You may modify the software according to your needs. This
includes error corrections, improvements, inclusion of other software,
and adaptations to specific business purposes. You are not authorized
to use any parts of the software within other software.
(3) The software may be redistributed under the following terms:
- The software is distributed free of charge (not including the cost
of the data transfer).
- The distribution has to exactly contain those files that originally
were provided by the copyright holder. You may not include any
additional files.
This means, if you like to distribute any changes to this software, you
have to provide them separately (e.g. as "patches").
(4) You are not authorized to distribute any executable code which is
derived from this software without the written permission of the copyright
holder. This restriction also applies to any distribution within your
organization, that is outside your workgroup. Please contact

(5) You have the option to contribute to the software (please contact
support@locbrowser.com). Contributions consist of text, any kind of data,
or source code. Such contributions will only be considered, if you agree
on the following conditions:
- the contribution does not depend on the intellectual property of any
third party.
- when you sent in the contribution, thereby you grant the copyright
holder of the LocBrowser product family a worldwide, royalty-free,
non-exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable license to the extent of
your intellectual property rights covering your contribution to use,
reproduce, modify, display and distribute your contribution in any
form, including the right to sublicense such rights to third parties
or through multiple tiers of distribution.
(6) The name of the copyright holder or "LocBrowser" may not be used to
endorse or promote products derived from this software without prior
specific written permission.
(7) This software is provided to you by the copyright holder and the
developers "as is" without warranty of any kind. Any expressed or
implied warranties, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties
of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed.
(8) In no event shall the copyright holder or the developers of this
software be liable to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, general,
special, or consequential damages (including but not limited to,
procurement of substitute goods or services; loss of use, data or profits;
or business interruption) however caused and on any theory of liability,
whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or
